Maison

This pleasant family home is nothing fancy but provides plenty of space to sleep, live and play. Situated on 4 country acres, there are trees to climb, grass to run in, and a creek where the children can splash. Inside feels spacious with 12' ceilings, big windows, and an open layout. The three bedrooms provide a double bed, 3 bunk beds, and a crib. We are currently adding 3 more rooms, a 2nd bathroom and nice wide porches front and rear. The addition will be complete by spring of 2008.

We are centrally located in the heart of NC. We are just outside of historic Salisbury, close to nice county parks, and the NC Transportation Museum. Within an hour's drive you will find destinations like Charlotte, Winston-Salem, the Blue Ridge Pkwy, the NC Zoo, Lake Norman, Lowe's Motor Speedway and all the Nascar stuff. A little longer drive gets you to the Biltmore Estate, the Smoky Mountains, or the Outer Banks.

Quartier

This is a rural community. We are surrounded by friendly neighbors, open fields, horses and cows. There is a convenience store and gas station within a few miles. Shopping, restaurants, historical sites, and museums are within a 20 minute drive.

We are a Christian family with 9 beautiful children between the ages of 13 and 6 mos. Mike is a jack of all trades with his primary business being carpet and upholstery cleaning. Mariel is a homeschooling mom. Our main goal and focus in life is to love the Lord and to educate and train the children He has given us. For us travel is a means towards that end. We look forward to sharing our home with you.

Destination

Because we homeschool and are self-employed we are extremely flexible. We are particularly interested in visiting a German speaking country as we are learning the language and in Russian because we have relatives there. We would also like to go to the West Coast and Washington DC but if you live somewhere else please don't hesitate to contact us!
