Huge 80 sq. meter living/dining room with panoramic windows on a high floor, four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, modern kitchen with all amenities such as dishwasher, cooktop stove, wall oven and microwave., maids rooms, washer/dryer, fully air-conditioned,24 hour doorman, garage.
The view is truly spectacular from across the bay past the harbor entrance and Sugar Loaf to a quiet cove where the Rio Yacht Club is located. The bedrooms open to a wooded hillside at the back of the building; the singing of birds is the only noise that might wake you up.
There are two large 3D LED TV's, audio and DVD players, computer with internet and Skype service.

Quartier

the apartment is located on a prestigious bayside avenue with renowned Flamengo Park extending from the downtown airport to the end of Botafogo cove. Bicycle and running paths extend the length of the park and beyond to picturesque Urca, a unique neighborhood, terminal for the cable cars that run up to Sugar Loaf. It is a quiet area of tree-lined streets, where one can easily access every need from small traditional shops.
A short taxi ride will bring you to downtown Rio or in the other direction to Copacabana or Ipanema beaches.
Within walking distance one can find a small shopping center as well as four multiplex theaters.
There are a number of restaurants and fine hotels in the area not to mention the ones in Ipanema and Leblon.

À propos de nous

I am retired, my wife is a university teacher who weekly commutes to her work one hour's flight time away from Rio. My two daughters and my two grandchildren live abroad, one in Europe and the other in the US. I sail with friends almost every weekend and we both enjoy music, the opera and the theater. Weather allowing we ride our bikes in the park across the street. I have a fairly extensive library in English, French and Portuguese. I am bilingual in Portuguese and English and can also converse fluently in French.

Destination

I am primarily interested in Paris, coastal Brittany, Oxford surroundings and Berlin.
We need a minimum of two bedrooms and two baths.
