Maison

Airy, open-plan one-bedroom wooden bungalow with lots of windows and large patio. Fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Well stocked bookshelves, TV and DVD player. Wireless internet. Double bed.

Large garden/yard, ideal for bonfires and barbecues. Two dogs who stays outdoors and cats who wander in and out.

Ideal for a either a single person or a couple, though a third person could sleep in the living room.

Very comfortable for tropical living.

Brighton Beach, St Michael (the map accompanying this listing is incorrect; I'm on the WEST coast, just north of Bridgetown.

Long, wide, beautiful, Brighton/Brandons beach is about 60 metres from the house; there is a little road and a row of houses between my house and the beach. Beach perfect for swimming, sunbathing, jogging, and of course, long walks.
There are stables and horse-riding, volleyball, beach tennis and Weisers Beach Bar/Restaurant about 5 minutes walk away, on the southern end of the beach, and on the northern end, the Hot-Pot and a fishing beach. http://barbados.org/maps_google.htm?mapPoint=11

Quiet neighbourhood. A few minutes drive south to Bridgetown, to Cheapside vegetable market, the fish market, and shopping. There are, of course, many supermarkets, fast food, and other amenities a quick drive away, and a range of other beaches and restaurants up the west coast.

I'm a teacher, so the house is available for simultaneous swap during July and August, and perhaps xmas or Easter.

I'll leave you lots of information, and do my best to make sure you have a good visit.

I'm flexible with dates. I'd like to travel to Portland, Oregon, USA, during mid-late July to mid-August, but the house is available from early July.

Destination

Simultaneous exchange.
For Summer 2011, Portland, Oregon. I'm attending a conference downtown, in early August.

A simple house or apartment within walking distance of bus/trains, amenities, cafes, parks would be ideal.

For Easter 2012, Martinique or Guadeloupe.

For the future, I'm open to offers that coincide with summer school holidays.
