Maison

Our family home is situated in seminyak bali 150metres from the beach with sunset and volcano views from our 2nd story balcony. It is a contemporary 2 storey Villa with 4 bedrooms, (1 childs bedroom toys etc) all bedrooms including kids have king sized beds and 4 spacious bathrooms all with baths. An infinity edged pool with waterfall accentuates a deck area with sun lounges for day's by the pool.
The Villa comes with a fully equipt modern kitchen plus staff including cleaner/cook, nannie, security guard 7 nights week and a driver if you hire a car. Cable tv and cinema size projector screen, dvd, bose music system in upstairs living area. There is a tv and dvd also in 2other bedrooms.

Quartier

Our house is in batu belig, a part of the famous seminyak district. it is quiet with 4 other expat villas in our gang. The neighbourhood is very safe and friendly. Although seminyak is developing fast, our neighbourhood still has a beautiful village feel to it. Rice fields directly adjacent to our house and a great beach 5 minutes walk away you get the full bali experience. fantastic ocean views over jimbaran bay from our top floor balcony accompanied by the gorgeous sunsets on one side of the balcony and volcanoes over the other side. There is a very popular indonesian restaurant across the road from our house with shopping and restaurants, nightlife and the infamous ku de ta a few minutes drive from the house.

We are an australian family and have lived here for 6 years. We own a great restaurant and gourmet delicatessen (grocer and grind) which is 5 minutes from our house which I manage. We have a 3 year old daughter blaise and a cat called "Kitty"-very original.
Life is pretty simple and relaxed most of the time here for us - thats why we moved here, I go to the gym & do lots of yoga and pilates and walk down the beach every day and of course throw in the weekly massages and swims in the pool and ocean, not a bad life really! Hubby, well he works away a lot and when he is here he enjoys our fabulous home and enjoys the fruits of his labour. We eat out a lot there are loads of great restaurants minutes away from our house and occasionally we head our for a big night out on the town when friends are holidaying.
If you have children, there are lots of other kids in the area to play with (although most of the ones we know are quite young) but there are always day care centres with loads of activities 10 minutes away.

Destination

We are going to the gold coast for 2 weeks and would like to do a 1 week house exchange our dates are flexible on a few days either side of the dates above
