Maison

Ile de Ré is a charming and sunny French Atlantic Island. Swap country house in typical “Ré” style for sea and sun lovers.
Ground floor: large lounge with fire place, US kitchen (microwave, dishwasher…).
First floor: bright and king size double bed bedroom + spare bed, office space, en suite bathroom with king size bath for 2, WC. Extra: accessories for baby available and bicycle.
This peaceful place is located in the middle of old village at 800 metres from the seaside and closed to the Thalassatherapy Center of the island. Enjoy the area: local day and night market, brocante (boot fairs, garage sales), hiking, cycling, horse trekking in the centre of island or by the sea, fishing.
Lovely countryside with vineyards (Ré wine is the first economic activity on the island) and beautiful beaches.

Quartier

Ile de Ré is a well-known place in France, officially recognised as a ‘Green Holiday Resort’ since 2002 and preserved from Property Development Programs. Perfect place to spend quiet holidays and enjoy the Nature.
“Ile de Ré” is accessible by car from a bridge (3 kilometres long) linking the main town, La Rochelle to the island. Also accessible by plane (La Rochelle Airport – 10 minutes away from the island) and by train (La Rochelle Station is a 10 kilometres – Paris/La Rochelle takes 3 hours).
La Rochelle is very nice old town with historic quarter. Built in the 17st century with beautiful architecture. Cinema, Restaurant, Theatre ect available.

A couple (early 30’s) with a 10 months old baby. Keen on travelling and discovering the world and found of Greek islands. Her: Journalist, Him: Finance Director.

Flexible dates, simultaneous dates for swap. Also possible swap: 1 week in Paris and 1 week in Ile de Ré ( French Atlantic Island) nearby La Rochelle where country house available (4:30h from Paris by car and 3 hours by train).
