Maison

A delightful, cool 4 bdrm, 5 bathroom brick house with all amenities. There is a pleasant first storey garden as well as a roof top space ideal for relaxing at the end of the day.
There is also a good selection of DVDs in the living room for the quieter moments at home and lots of living space. There is a housekeeper (cooking, cleaning and laundry) available if requested & a 24 hour uniformed guard on duty.

We have a car (see photos) and 5 bicycles available although we have found that most visitors prefer to use a driver, tuktuks or motorbike taxis (all quite cheep) because the traffic can be hectic (helmets available).

Also the house is very close to the city centre, so the river front, restaurants, the palace, gardens, museums, casino, shopping and open markets are in easy reach.

Quartier

The house is in a residential quarter of Phnom Penh about 30 minutes from the airport with very easy access to all the city's attractions, markets and restaurants, walking distance to parks,the palace and riverfront.
It is a great base for bigger adventures across Cambodia to Angkor Wat, Rattanikiri or the beach resorts. The following website is an excellent guide - we use it all the time:

À propos de nous

We are an Australian family of 4 with 2 girls (18 & 14) that has been living in Cambodia for many years. Whilst we regularly return to Australia to visit family, we also like to travel more widely having visited most of the countries in the region as well as places as far as Japan, Norway, Denmark, Spain and England.

I am the Director for Oxfam America & my wife works for the UN.
We can speak Khmer but it is no longer essential because so many people around Cambodia now speak excellent English and some French.

Destination

There is some flexibility around dates. Essentially we must coincide with school holidays in July.
We are open to any interesting destination in the future.
