Maison

Our house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living area as well as an outside barbeque area covered with a lapa for enjoying the breathtaking African sunsets. An abundance of birdlife can also be observed in our garden and the surrounding areas.

Undisturbed landscapes, a fascinating animal kingdom, numerous outdoor activities and a unique blend of African and European influences make Namibia a fascinating travel destination, where the sun shines more than 300 days per year. Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is situated in the country’s central Khomas Region amidst the rolling hills and it is the perfect destination for visitors wishing to get a real taste of Africa. Our rich mix of cultural diversity ensures something special for every mood. Excellent restaurants serving African and European delicacies, art and craft markets with exquisite gifts to tempt you.

As far as capital cities go, this is one of the safest and most relaxed in Southern Africa and a perfect place to start or finish a Namibian holiday. Stately buildings range from the home of Namibia's parliament, to the newly founded Hero's Acre. Day tours can be undertaken into Katutura, several museums in Windhoek, the National Library, National Archives, National Art Gallery and the National Botanical Gardens.

Just 15kms outside Windhoek is the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, perfect for relaxing and game viewing. At Gross Barmen Hot springs Resort, 90km from the capital, one can relax in baths of steaming spring water. A must for avid rock climbers is Spitzkoppe, between Windhoek and Swakopmund, often referred to as the Matterhorn of Namibia.There are also numerous other lodges in close proximity where Africa can be experienced up, close and personal.

Our beautiful home is situated in a quiet neigbourhood surrounded by walking - and bike trials. You will in all probability encounter wildlife not too far from our front gate!

It is alo possible to fly to Cape Town or Johannesburg, within one hour and 45 minutes, from the Windhoek Airport (Hosea Kutako International).

À propos de nous

We are a young couple without children, however, children are always welcome! I am involved in the legal field and my partner is a self-employed businessman. The only pets (children) around are four fish: Goldfinger, Jessebel, Sumurai and Sambuca. At all times the house will be looked after and cleaned by our ''right hand'', Desiree, who is already part and parcel of the furniture! (She also feeds teh fish). Therefore, whilst on holiday, you do not need to attend to any of the domestic duties. Our gardener also tends to the garden twice weekly.

We love the outdoors and try to embark on new and exciting adventures when possible. Should you be interested in visting our fasinating country we are happy to hear from you.

Destination

This does not need to be a simultanous exchange and our dates are flexible, we are also open to any region or city. The destinations mentioned are not cast in stone, we are open to any exchange, anywhere....Surprise us!
