Our large family four bedroom house is situated in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood with nice gardens in front and rear. The house can comfortable sleep 8, comprising of two double bedrooms one en suite, a large child friendly loft area that has a double bed and single bed / sofa and finally a single chlldren's bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms both with showers and a large family eat in kitchen area. The beach is a 2 minute walk away in fact you have have sea views from the bedrooms. We have 5 bikes and a couple of surf and boogie boards and would also be willing to include use of one of our cars in the exchange if that offer was reciprocated. The two living room spaces are set up as living areas with both having lounge space and t.v's, dvd players. There is also an office area that has a computer, broadband internet access and fax and copying facilities.

Quartier

Seaburn has its own blue flag beach on the North East coast located between the City of Sunderland (3 miles away) and South Shields ( also 3 miles away) which is the finish of the Great North Run. Our house is located in a much sought after family neighbourhood. It is close by to 3 different parks, tennis courts a marina and endless oportunitys for coastal walks or biking on coastal paths right on our doorstep. The location is 10 miles from Newcastle airport, 12 miles from the Cathedral City of Durham, under 40 minutes to the Northumbrian Coast, the Lake District and even Scotland is under 2 hours drive away. You can get to London by train in 3 hours. York and Harrogate which are beautiful historic cities are easily acessible and Alnwick castle which was the film location for Harry Potter is 45 minutes away. In July the biggest free airshow in Europe is staged right on our beach and we are also a short drive from 2 professionsal soccer stadiums. You could never get bored staying here!

I work as a Sports Scientist at Sunderland University and my wife is a P.E / dance teacher at a local school. We have 2 boys aged 10 and 3 and we all love to travel and experience living in a different area or culture to our own, but with all the comforts of home. We lived in the United States for several years but have been living in this house for the last 8 years.
