Nice and new Santa Fe style casita (small house shares the lot with a larger house). Cozy and charming. 1 bedroom, 1 bath, living room with fireplace, full kitchen with dishwasher. Washer/dryer. Small front yard.

Quartier

This is a friendly working-class neighborhood. One really good, really close, basic New Mexican restaurant. Close to the downtown plaza area (you can walk it if you are used to walking or you can catch a bus a couple of blocks away.) Walking distance to another shopping area called the Guadalupe district where there are several restaurants and lots of shops and galleries.

There is also an outdoor public swimming pool a few blocks away.

(Please note that the pictures of the scenery are not views from our house, they are just to show you how beautiful Santa Fe is.) This is a great place to stay to explore Northern New Mexico. If you love hiking, you can be in the mountains in 15 minutes. We are also a day's drive away from places like the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, and Carlsbad Caverns.

We are long-time Santa Fe residents who love to travel. We actually live south of Santa Fe and use this casita as our weekend townhouse, so the exchange does not have to be simultaneous.

Judy is a certified public accountant who is always ready to take a trip soon after finishing the US tax season (after April 15), and Thom is a man of many talents who does construction work as well as bookkeeping. We are both self-employed and both worked on the construction of this house. Thom managed the construction project as well as making all of the beautiful cabinetry. Judy & Thom both did the tile work.

For this exchange, Judy (who has always had a dream of living in Paris someday) would like to swap for an apartment in Paris so that she can go there & attend a language school for a month.

Destination

Always interested in France, especially Paris. Open to other European cities or places in Central and South America. Always interested in anyplace with scuba diving. Can be non-simultaneous. Desired dates are somewhat flexible.
