Maison

The house is large and open plan, with the master bedroom and four poster bed, ensuite and walk-in robe on the mezanine level. The kitchen has a large breakfast bar, six burner gas hob and walk-in pantry. There are three other bedrooms and a study, with broadband internet access, and all ground floor rooms have direct access to the garden.

There is a courtyard off the kitchen with deck, barbeque, herb garden and fish pond. The large garden is mainly rainforest, with two dams, a lawn area, fruit trees and vegetable gardens. A gardener comes for a couple of hours every two weeks.

Quartier

Noosa is one of the premiere tourist areas in Australia with a protected beach, excellent restaurants and national park. Other surf beaches are also close by. There are interesting country towns in the immediate area (Eumundi, Montville) as well as wineries, scenic drives (Glass House Mountains) and National Parks.

Brisbane is a 2 hour drive south (1 1/2 hours to the airport) and Hervey Bay (which provides access to Fraser Island and the southern tip of the Barrier Reef) is 2 and a half hours north. The Sunshine Coast airport is 25 minutes from Doonan, providing low cost flights to Sydney and Melbourne.

Activities include all watersports (two surf skis and a boogie board come with the house), golf, bush walking and tennis.

Jason is a semi-retired public servant and Gillian and Jason now both work as independent consultants on health and overseas development projects.

We both enjoy living close to the beach and the beautiful Noosa National Park. We play tennis at a local club, swim and body surf and occasionally canoe on the Noosa River. There are plenty of very good restaurants and we enjoy going to the cinema. Jason also spends a lot of time gardening.

Destination

We would like to stay in the UK/Europe in April/May/June 2008 for 4-5 weeks. Other than that we are open to offers for dates and locations.
