You will love this charming stone cottage in Flagstaff, AZ. It is cozy and well kept with views of the San Francisco peaks from the front window, quiet neighborhood and walking distance to downtown. Centrally located with easy driving to SW sights, including 1.5 hours to S. Rim Grand Canyon, 3.5 hours to N. Rim Grand Canyon, 45 min. to Sedona, close to Four Corners Region, southern Utah and Colorado, and a 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix Airport. A two bedroom, 1 bath with full kitchen, fireplace, hard wood floors and plenty of parking. Very clean. Flagstaff does receive some snow in winters and has a ski hill, summers are beautiful and moderate with 80s. The outdoor activity choices are many. We live at 7000 feet elevation.

Quartier

This neighborhood is quiet and friendly, close to fantastic hiking and biking trails and a short walk to the downtown village of Flagstaff with great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. There is public transportation nearby -- bus, and the Amtrack train stops in Flagstaff regularly. There is a lovely view of the San Francisco peaks from the front windows.

I am a single professional (40, college professor), nonsmoker, and live with a very sweet dog. It may be nice to invite a friend along with me on a trip. I am open to swapping pet care; my dog is very friendly, loves children and requires little in care. I love to hike, travel and also teach yoga. I keep my home free of chemicals, as much as possible, and love to garden. The yard is currently undergoing some wonderful landscaping improvements.

Destination

Both non-simultaneous and simultaneous exchanges will be considered. I am open to travel to many different places, with preference given to Europe (Italy, Scotland, Ireland are first choices), New Zealand, US (Hawaii, especially Kauai, West Coast, Northwest, Santa Fe, Colorado), Greek Islands, Canada (BC first choice), Peru, and beach locations throughout the world.
Exchange times may vary -- my typical vacation breaks include 3 weeks in Dec.-Jan. around the holidays, the 3rd. week of March, US Thanksgiving holiday (late Nov.), and summers (May 20-Aug. 15). When traveling afar I prefer to go for a minimum of 2-3 weeks; closer destinations may be shorter trips. I only speak English fluently.
