We bought this house with entertaining and guests in mind. Day to day only two people live in this 4000+sf, 5 bedroom, 3 full and 2 half bath home. We have 5 adult children who visit us from time to time and 2 cats stay with us most of the time. We both work from home so there are two large offices on the first floor. The kitchen has granite counter, tall modern cabinetry, open to a large sitting area with skylights, a slider to the deck, a gazibo and a small fenced in backyard. There is a spacious living room/dining room combined area with a working fireplace. All rooms on the first floor has wide ceiling mouldings, hardwood floors except kitchen and high ceilings. There is a finished basement for playing ping pong, or card games. Bedrooms are on second and third floors.
Master bedroom has on suite bath, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and two sink vanity. The house is south facing and has many large windows. There is no lack of bright sunlight. The second largest room is located at the other end of second floor. It has its own private roof deck. It shares a full bath with the third bedroom. The third floor has two more bedrooms and one full bath.
The house was renovated in 2004 from top to buttom. It is a very comfortable home which can easily accommodate 6 to 8 people.

Quartier

We are located on a quiet side street not far from the Newtonville Village. Our neighbors on the street know everyone. We have block party during the summer every year. Newton has been voted as the safest city in the country four year in a row.
The only thing may bother you right now is the construction at the Newton North High School which is practically next door to us. The noise starts at 7 am lasts until 4pm during the weekdays. The weekends and holidays are ok.

My husband Kevin and I (Susie) are both in real estate. We work from home most of the time. We enjoy socializing with people, going to classical music concerts, watching HGTV home improvement programs, gardening, and traveling (of course). Susie speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese. She plays tennis, ping-pong, and bowls. We spend a lot of time helping people buying and selling real estate. We would like to travel two months a year to places such as San Diego, Hawaii, Paris, and Taiwan.

Destination

Yes, we prefer a non-simultaneous exchange to start with. Our dates are flexible but prefer to be in January. We would like to travel to San Diego or cities and towns in between San Diego and LA but not too far from each city.
