Maison

My wife and I are a retired couple who live in New Smyrna Beach on Florida's east coast. Our three bedroom, two full bathroom home is located on a golf course, about five miles from the ocean. Cars are permitted on the beach, so there’s never any problem finding a parking space!

New Smyrna Beach is only a few miles from the Cape Canaveral National Seashore, a Federal park with access to ocean beaches and to the Intracoastal Waterway. We’re not far from some of the most popular attractions in Florida – Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Speedway, and St. Augustine.

Our neighborhood is called Turnbull Estates, and, like us, almost everybody is retired. If you golf, you can walk to the club house of the Turnbull Country Club golf course, From our home you can look across a pond to the third fairway.

It's wonderful neighborhood for short walks and bike riding, If you like longer hikes, we're a short drive from a town conservation preserve with hikes of varying lengths. But, if you feel like the beach, it's only about 5-10 minutes away, with beach parking permitted. If you get bored with golfing in the neighborhood, just hop in your car, and in 5 minutes you'll be at one of two other golf courses in New Smyrna Beach.

My wife and I have been retired for about 10 years. I am a computer professional and she is an accountant. We enjoy walking, biking, and kayaking. We spend six months here in Florida and six months in New England.
