Maison

Our home sits along the Wisconsin River just north of Lake Wisconsin. Visitors often remark on the peacefulness they feel when here. The river's edge is approx. 50 feet from the front door. Sit on the dock and dangle your feet in the water or take a swim. Beautiful sunsets, deer, eagles and sandhill cranes are a few of the daily attractions. While our home is not a monument to fine decor, it is definitely comfortable. There are three gas fireplaces if you count the one on the large knotty pine three-season porch. A large living room with 6 picture windows to the river provides a great place to gather with a view to the outside. The yard on the opposite side of the house is large and affords a good place to stretch your legs. A large television and piano are available for your use. Wireless internet connection also available.

Quartier

While our home is in the country, we live in a small populated area in country in an area of other homeowners and neighbors close by. The closest town, Poynette, is approximately six miles away. The state's capital, Madison, is 40 minutes south. The Wisconsin Dells, a popular family tourist spot with shopping, large amusement and water parks, is approximately 40 minutes to the north. Enjoy sitting by the river with a campfire, fishing off the dock, boating with the neighbors or take a swim. It is a quiet place to live, but accessible to many fun places and activities.

À propos de nous

We commute to our places of work. I work with graduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My spouse has a management position with a manufacturer in a nearby town.

Destination

We are interested in visiting various parts of Ireland, but mostly the more southern regions and the Dublin area. We are flexible in our dates. It could be a non-simultaneous exchange; we would be open to hosting a visit.
