Enjoy our Lodge Style Dream Home on a 150 ft. bluff overlooking the spectacular Deschutes River at the end of the road! Custom built in 2002, the house has awesome river or mountain views from every room! On the mountain side of the home you see Mt. Bachelor, the Three Sisters and Mt. Jefferson. On the river side you can gaze at nearly a mile of the wild and scenic Deschutes River with a view of the Bend city lights at night. Our location is just 5 minutes from downtown Bend and on the road to Mt. Bachelor ski area (15 minutes) and the High Cascades. It is VERY private at the end of the road in a gated community, with miles of hiking/biking trails virtually outside the door. Our 4000 sq. ft. home also has 2 fabulous spacious decks, one on the river canyon, the other for mountains and sunsets. And this is a bird lover's paradise! We regularly see Bald Eagles and Osprey diving for fish; Canadian Geese, Great Blue Herons, Golden Eagles, Red-Tailed Hawks and even river otters are also common sights. When you are not skiing or just enjoying the solitude, you can hike down a short trail for some fly-fishing, or play golf on one of the numerous championship golf courses in the area (one just 5 minutes up the road) . There is also unlimited canoeing, mt-biking and rock climbing nearby, or if you prefer, exceptional dining, shopping and entertainment. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plus a recreation room, you’ll have plenty of room for everyone to spread out. In the spacious 900 sq-ft. master suite, you can drift off to sleep to the sound of the river. It features a king-size bed with double dressing areas, a sitting room and a fireplace; plus a large bathroom with his-and-hers sinks, soaking bath tub and tile shower; and even a private deck overlooking the river. The two additional large bedrooms (river and mountain views respectfully) both feature queen beds, one a handmade romantic pine canopy bed. The gated community of Sunrise Village is on the desireable west side of Bend, and has a large heated pool with an oversized hot tub (great after a long day of skiing) , 4 tennis courts and extensive paved bike/walking paths. The Athletic Club of Bend is just a short walk away and guest passes can be arranged by request. Bend (www. visitbend. com and www. ci. bend. or. us) is the gateway to 25+ major lakes, and the Deschutes and Sisters Wilderness areas in the beautiful Oregon Cascades. We are right next to the Deschutes National Forest and there are numerous walking, running or mt-bike trails just out the door. Bend is an outdoor mecca and the high desert climate is ideal for numerous outdoor activities, Bend is also on every "top 10 places to live in the US" list. We are just 5 minutes from downtown Bend which is filled with wonderful restaurants, boutiques and galleries. Bend is on the Eastern side of the Cascade Mountains, is at 4,000 feet above sea level, and has over 300 days of sunshine. Summers are hot and dry, winters are cold and snowy.

We are a family of 4. John (an airline pilot) and Jennifer are avid outdoor enthusiasts. We also work/own a golf retail shop in Bend. We love to hike, bike, snowboard, ski, camp, waterski and kayak with our 2 children, Kristina (15) and Kevin(13), and are looking for travel adventures in sunny exciting locations. You will love our house and will treat yours as respectfully as if it were our

Destination

Because we have school age children our best time is Spring Break (end of March) , Summer, and possibly Christmas or Thanksgiving (end of Nov) . This is a smoke-free home; no pets please.
