Home available for exchange in North Canton, OH on a gorgeous lake. There are 3 connecting lakes total in our neighborhood. It's a 1,678 sq. ft. lake front cottage with 3 bedrooms in a Private community. You can go fishing, swimming, and boating in the summer, and ice skating or ice fishing in the winter. One of the bedrooms is a baby's room, so this home is perfect if you have an infant or very young child traveling with you. The other bedrooms have a full size and a queen size bed in them. The kitchen is currently being remodeled into a large farmhouse style kitchen and will be completed by Nov. '07. We have a wood burning fireplace, a loft, large living room, large deck overlooking the water, recently remodeled full bathrooms (one with an extra large shower), and hardwood floors. There is a Playstation 2 for the kids, as well as 2 computers with internet access. We also have a 48" plasma TV in the living room with HBO, Showtime, a DVR, and surround sound. There is also a TV and DVD player in both adult bedrooms. Jeep Liberty and/or minivan available for use. Small pets and children welcome. Located in a quiet, idyllic setting in upscale Jackson Township, which is an hour south of Cleveland. Expressway only 10 minutes away, and airport is 5 minutes from our home. This home was built in 1918 and is completely charming and decorated in cottage style. It's a 1/2 hour from the largest Amish community in the world, with many shops, great restaurants, farm/home tours, and much more. It's 15 minutes from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the President McKinley National Memorial and Museum, and the National First Ladies' Museum. The National Inventors Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are both nearby. You can take day trips to Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh, Cedar Point Amusement Park, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, and much more! Master bedroom overlooks the lake. Great lake views! Quiet, private community. There's little traffic, so it's wonderful for walks or bike rides (two adult mountain bikes and one kids' bike are included for your use). You can go swimming, fishing, and/or boating in the summer, and ice skating or ice fishing in winter. There's a 23' pontoon boat available for you to use as well. The neighbors are super friendly and helpful. The community is very charming, and includes a clubhouse with a bar/grill area, small beach with swim platform and slide, sand volleyball area, small playground and basketball court for the kids. Lots of huge trees and winding roads. We have a grill, and a new patio set for 6 set up on the deck for having meals there in the summer. The deck is right off the master bedroom. It's honestly like a little resort. We're located in NE Ohio, and we're not far from both Cleveland and Pittsburgh, if you want to take in a theater show, concert or just visit a large city. We're also only a few hours from beautiful Niagara Falls, and Toronto, Canada. There is an airport only 5 minutes away. Our area has over 250 restaurants, various historical sites, TONS of great shopping, many fun outdoor activities, as well as tours of interesting places, such as Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, Hale Farm and Village, Zoar Village, the St. Helena III canal boat, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, Amish Country, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Kelley's Island, Put-in-Bay,Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Cedar Point Amusement Park, which has more rollercoasters than any park in the WORLD! A golf course is 3 minutes away as well. We are a 6 hour drive from New York City, as well as Chicago. We are able to provide directions for day trips and also to necessities such as grocery stores, etc. We are also providing gift certificates and discounts for area attractions for whomever swaps with us, and we'll have a fantastic gift basket awaiting you when you arrive! Hi! We're Bill and Lisa. We're a family of 3 (including a 10 month old infant- will be 1 yr. old on 12/29/07). We're both account executives for our family owned business, and enjoy traveling, and outdoor activities. We like big cities as well as country settings. We both speak English. We're 39 and 47 years old, and have been married for 3 years. We're both non-smokers and only light social drinkers. We are very neat and tidy and like things kept clean. We have a 4 lb. Hairless Chinese Crested dog, but you don't have to care for her if you prefer not to, as we have someone who can watch her while we're away. We're very responsible, careful and respectful of other's belongings and homes, and will definitely take excellent care of anyone's home who wants to exchange with us, and we expect the same in return. I'm a bit of a neat and cleaning freak, but in a case of exchanging homes, that's probably a good thing!

We have never done a home exchange before, but we're VERY excited to try it out! It sounds like such a great way to see other parts of the world, and get to know people in other countries. Bill was in the US Navy and has seen many parts of the world, but I (Lisa) have never been outside of the US except to Canada and Jamaica, so I'm really excited to visit new places. We're hoping this works out to be our annual type of vacation each year, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Destination

We'd love to visit any place in Europe, Asia or the United States. We're very interested in the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Scotland, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, and The Netherlands especially, but we'll consider any destination, and any dates after January, 2008. If we didn't list your area and you're interested in exchanging with us, just ask us anyways! If you aren't sure what all there is to do in our area, please do ask. Many people don't think there's lots to see in Ohio, but there really is, and it's a BEAUTIFUL state! Thanks- and we look forward to hearing from you.
