Maison

3 floor house with approximately 300 m2, garage for 2 cars and wide modern interiors, beautiful sunlight in every rooms. In the upper floor, all the 3 bedrooms have large balconies equipped with table, deck chairs and chaise-longues to enjoy the lovely sunny morning and sunsets! The master bedroom has his own full bathroom, in the middle floor there is the open space kitchen, home-office, living-room and dining-room. The living-room area opens to an outdoor space (about 30 m2) with the private swimming-pool and a relaxing area equipped with wood furniture for exterior meals or cocktails.
In the ground level fits the garage and a nice room where children can play, or family can be gathered to play cards or play some guitar...
The straight architectural lines are the highlight of this 2 years-old house. The interiors are fresh and young, we have cableTV, Internet, dish and cloth washer, DVD player,...
OK, that's it! It's our beloved home!!!

Quartier

Our house is located in the countryside, a quiet area surrounded by agriculture fields and houses. Soutelo is a parish of Vila Verde, 6km away from Braga, the capital of the district, the oldest archdiocese and one of the major cities of Portugal. Under the Roman Empire, Braga was known as Bracara Augusta, and it was capital of the province Gallaecia.
Besides visiting urban busy Braga, 1km from home there's a nice beach on Cavado river, where you can bade, swim, rent a kayak or just spend quality time on the esplanades along the river.
The neighbourhood is friendly and almost every weekend there's a traditional feast somewhere, with fireworks and all!
For those who like architecture, Braga has more than 30 churches and some modern buildings too. One of the most famous and spectacular is the football stadium designed by Souto Moura for the Euro2004.
For those who like nature better, Geres is 30 minutes away, a National Park with beautiful sightseeing, mountains, lakes and picturesque villages.
Half hour away too you can visit Porto, the 2nd largest city in Portugal.

À propos de nous

We are a young couple, 31 years-old, no children and wishful to travel and meet new places around the world! I’m Ana, architect and functionary in the local township, and he runs a small company in the business “health and safety at work”.
We already visited some european countries and we loved the experience… when we were students we got to know more young people from other countries through the school years… that allowed us to visit them or our Portuguese friends who were in the “erasmus” program, and save a lot…!
We spend most time visiting new places, since we moved here only 2 years ago, and also playing tennis, going to the cinema, or discovering nice restaurants, cafes and bars. It’s a nice life, we’re trying to take the best of it, at least while we don’t have kids!
We speak portuguese (of course!), spanish and english no problem, a little bit of français and ein bisschen deutsch!... But we do know how to draw or make gestual language, ok? ;)

Destination

If it's a non-simultaneous exchange we have only 2 bedrooms available (4 sleeps).
For our destinations, we're looking for a big urban city to enjoy the newyears day. That's why it has to be at least 30 dec to 1 jan.
