Large 1-bedroom New York apartment available for the second half of January, 2008. Would like to trade with someone in Florence or Chinqua Terra, Italy. We will be happy to consider other locations also.

Our apartment is well-located in Astoria, Queens which is just east over the river from Midtown Manhattan. This is a 10-minute train ride from 59th Street. The subway station is 2 blocks
away from the apartment.

The apartment is in great shape and has ample room for 2-4 people (1 main bedroom, kitchen, large living room with fold out bed). The location is fantastic, the apartment is in great shape and large, and Astoria has everything one would want, including restaurants in every cuisine worldwide.

We (2 people total) plan to be in Italy from January 16 until January 23, though our dates are slightly flexible. You would have access to my Queens apartment from January 16 until January 31.

For sightseeing, you can easily take the subway to the Empire State Building (20 min), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (25 min), the SoHo district (35 min), and the Lower East Side (40 min). You will be only 20 minutes from the MoMA on 53rd Street and you will have free passes (I work at the Museum). You can also easily reach Times Square (30 min) which connects every major subway line.

We (2 people) are a young couple looking for an affordable way to enjoy northern Italy in late January. We look forward to hearing from you.

Destination

We plan to be in Italy from roughly January 16 until January 23, though our dates are slightly flexible. You would have access to my Queens apartment from January 16 until January 31 since we will be in Egypt until the end of the month.
