Only for rent as of December 2008. We are happy to discuss long-term rent options.

Completely renovated and tastefully designed apartment with teak parquet floors throughout close to the historic Basilica San Giovanni and off major shopping street (Via Appia Nuova) with a large outdoor market just down the street.

The apartment features one bedroom with queen size bed, treadmill, flat screen TV and DVD player; one large living room with L-shaped couch, desk, flat screen TV and DVD player; bright eat-in kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and flat screen TV; one bathroom with toilet, bathtub, shower, washer and dryer; one studio with large desk and plenty of books; and a small balcony. We also have wireless internet and satellite TV with hundreds of channels (including English language options).

Quartier

The apartment is located in the San Giovanni/Appio Latino area with the main metro A line (connecting to all major sites such as the Spanish Steps and the Vatican) a couple blocks away and a bus line across the street that passes through the entire historic center of Rome (San Giovanni, Colosseum, Roman Forum, etc). We are located just far enough away to be able to live among the Italians and away from the hordes of tourists but are able to reach those tourist-centered locations in just minutes on the metro/bus.

À propos de nous

My husband and I are in our early 30s, both well educated and professional (he works in IT and I work in international relations), interested in exploring the world and learning foreign languages/cultures and major animal lovers. Rome is the city of cats and we have adopted three abandoned cats that are an integral part of our family and home. They are very loving, cuddly and happy to play.

We would be very happy to take care of any pets in the home exchange and in return would need the people staying in our home to love and care for our cats as we would love and care for your pets.

We would expect a home/apartment similar to ours either in the center of the city/town or within easy access. We speak English, Italian, French and some Spanish so please feel free to contact us in any of those languages.

Destination

Our dates are flexible around the December holiday period and we are willing to consider just about anywhere in the world, though prefer Asia for at least 2-4 weeks in December 2007/January 2008. We would need somebody to stay in our home in Rome to take care of our cats and we can do the same for your pets!

Also open to weekend exchanges throughout the year in Europe!
