Very private hillside home with decks, hot tub in gazebo, living room and master bedroom have spectacular views of mountains, Anchorage, and Cook Inlet. Only 20 minutes from downtown Anchorage, with easy access to freeway to Matanuska Valley and beyond.

The home has a lady living in the mother-in-law type apartment below. She is quiet and professional, with own parking area and separate entrance. You'll not even know she's there.

Our home has cherrywood floors, and an open floor plan on the kitchen & living room level. A nice fireplace with plenty of firewood available, satellite TV with countless channels, and a good stereo system make the atmosphere very cozy - and the views are spectacular, especially at sunset.

We have a garage with remote door operation, with covered walkways to the house for protection from the elements when needed. The roads are kept well plowed when snow covered from time to time during winter, and we have someone who comes and plows the driveway when called.

Quartier

Quiet, safe, great views, close to downtown Eagle River with many restaurants, movie theatre, shopping, and other resources.

Whether you wish to drive for a day or two down the Kenai penninsula or an easy day's drive up to Talkeetna (Mt. McKinley nearby) and back by dinner, we are well-located for all of the area's activities.

Professional couple - Nick is a former airline pilot and is currently a pilot/manager of a local commuter airline, Lita works for an airline - previously a history teacher - she plays guitar. Both enjoy the out-of-doors, flying & Alaska. Lita speaks fluent Spanish, and some French.

We have a cat - he is friendly, and enjoys being out at night and sleeping during the day. He is easy to feed (auto feeder filled weekly, and water - dry cat food only). "Simba" likes to say hello when he first comes in, and lets you know (quietly) when he wants out. No bother - a typical aloof cat until he gets to know you.

Destination

Prefer Europe, consider others. Dates are flexible, but we need to plan well in advance. Prefer off-seasons, as we like less crowds.
