Maison

Our house is an hundred years old quiet independant house built on three stories. On the ground floor, basement. 1st floor : a large kitchen and dining room (allowing us to dine here as a family), living room, a double sized bedroom, WC and a bathroom. Upstairs there is a bathroom, 1 double sized bedroom and two bedrooms. There is an enclosed garden on the front of the house containing lawn, old trees and flower beds. Our home is comfortable for a family of 6. Our car could be available(Citroën Evasion 7 seater manual). We also have many bikes (road or mountain bike) which you are more than welcome to use.

Quartier

Proximity (500m) bakery, butcher'shop, green grocer, chemist's, bus and railway station (30 mn to Grenoble and Chambéry). Gresivaudan is a fantastic area. In Alps but altitude 200 meters, sunny and warm weather. Winter only 10 days with snow and cold temperatures early on the morning. Many winter sport resorts around. The nearest les 7 Laux 15 km. But also Alpe d'Huez, les 2 Alpes, Vercors, Vanoise, Tarentaise, les Ecrins and Chamonix Mont Blanc (2 hours). Grenoble (city of Stendhal and Champollion) and Chambery (Dukes' Savoie Capital, Ex Kings of Italy Family) 30 Km. Lyon and Genève 120 Km. Many spa town around : Allevard (10 Km), Uriage (35), Aix les Bains (40). Bourget's lake (the largest of France) Annecy's lake between 35 and 50 Km. Many sports possible (mains europeans spots to go paragliding) and many cultural activities also : Artistic and historics Museum (French Resistance 2nd World War in Vercors and Grenoble, French Revolution 1789).

À propos de nous

François (42) works as journalist for local TV edition France 3 Alpes, and Regine (42) in the area of social care. We have 4 children : two daughters (20,12) two sons (16,8). Fantastic and well-behaved. We have a friendly cat called Pitocha and if you agree we would ask you to care for, but if you don't our neighbours used to. They are friendly and could help you as you want.

Destination

Our oldest daughter is studying at Edinburgh University since september. So we're interested by home exchange in Scotland during this year and particularly next french school holidays, from october the 29th to november the 8th.
