Maison

Our recently remodeled home is located high on a ridge top with drop-your-jaw views of the entire southern coast and the extinct Diamond Head volcano. Our home has been designed to take full advantage of the spectatcular views with floor to ceiling windows and a spacious covered patio.

The main floor is our primary living area with 2 bedrooms that sleep 4. We enjoy our large master bedroom (with separate his and her baths) with sliding glass doors out to the patio. The kitchen was recently remodeled with all new modern applicances, granite island and countertops. We use the downstairs level as a guest suite with 2 bedrooms to sleep 4 more.

And from our tropical garden, you can enjoy avocados when in season and papayas, lemons and limes throughout the year.



Quartier

Although just minutes from Waikiki, the 5 minute drive to the top of the ridge transports you to a quiet and established neighborhood far from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Kahala mall and business disctrict are just down the hill, offering the convenience of nearby shops, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, and post office.

My husband and I are in our early 50s and are recent "empty-nesters" with our only child in his first year of college in Oregon. We moved to Hawaii from Denver, Colorado in 2003. We are both business attorneys practicing out of our home and rely heaviliy on the internet to communicate with our clients. This allows us some freedom to serve our clients from anywhere as long as we are connected to the internet.

We look forward to spending longer periods of time at various destinations around the world. We love Italy and Southeast Asia (Thailand and Vietnam). We are also interested in repeat stays in US cities such as Denver (our old hometown), New York City, San Francisco, and Boston.

Destination

We are beginning to plan a lengthy stay abroad (Europe or Asia) in the 2010 time frame and would like to arrange a lengthy home exchange - say 3-6 months, if possible.

Always interested in a few days in SF, NY, California wine countrty, New Orleans. Friends in Denver also make it an attractive destination for us. Non-simultaneous exchanges can be arranged.
