Maison

Our apartment is placed in a early 1960 building, in the heart of the modern city, 3 minutes walk to the beach and same distance from downtown as well.
It’s a first floor 95 square meters apartment in a walk up building with no elevator. It offers a bright entrance, and a comfortable atmosphere for easy living your holiday. The entire apartment has been completely renovated between 2005 and 2007 and all the furniture and decors are new and fresh.
The kitchen has been restructured and customised in all-wood, it’s fully equipped and has all a new kitchen has to offer: a security gas system included. The living room has a very comfortable angular sofa bed, a big Tv ,a dvd player with a couple of DVD’s for children entertainment, a chest of drawers and air conditioning. Many colourful Paolo Da San Lorenzo paintings brighten and embellish the room.
A lovely terracotta tile balcony off the kitchen and living room, is a perfect spot for morning coffee, or to relax with a glass of wine. The full bathroom is nicely furnished with sink, wc, bidet and shower. A long hallway leads to the two large bedrooms, the Blue room and the Orange room. They offer a total of 6 comfortable sleeps (up to 8 with the pull out couch in the living room) as they have a double bed, a single bed, wardrobe and air conditioning each.
A sunroof with breathtaking view of old Terracina is a free use of our guests, ideal for a sunbathe and to enjoy a good book in total relax.

Quartier

For those who like their Italy a bit more Italian, the southern half of the boot holds many treasures, and few of them have been discovered, far less overrun by tourists.
Our place in Terracina is perfectly located as touring base to visit the real Italy.
Slightly more than 100 Kilometres from Rome and 120 Km from Naples, Terracina lies on about fifteen Km of coastline, along the wide gulf marked off by the Circeo and Gaeta promontories. By taking a short walk in the old town you will discover characteristic shops and establishments, including small wineries, with history everywhere around you. Piazza del Municipio also offers a view of the two symbols of Terracina, the incredible sea and the Temple of Jupiter Anxur. On especially clear days you can see the jewels of Campania, the islands of Ischia and Capri. Pompeii and the Vesuvio volcano are pretty close too (150km).Terracina is full of fine restaurants and is really good for shopping. Very distinctive are the colourful fishermen's port-canal and two basins for pleasure-craft, and the arm of the port where the ships depart for Ponza (in the summer) and for Ventotene. It is really a particular experience visiting the upper historic city centre of Terracina; it is like travelling through the thousands events which marked the history from ancient times to our days. Every stone, building, road reminds events and famous people of the past. Those who enjoy the countryside as well as the sea need only venture a few miles into the interior to reach many interesting places. Terracina is definitely a must for everyone who loves Italy and its beauties.

We are Marisa (58) affirmed archaeologist and her daughter Maria (25), law student. This is our newly restored holiday home in Terracina. We have a business on it and as it seems to be a very popular location abroad, we decided to start to exchange it in order to experience a new kind of holiday. We have a sense of adventure, seeking to blend into local cultures wherever we go. Between 2006 and 2009 we have done 14 exchanges in Staten Island, Brooklyn , Chelsea and Upper west side in Manhattan , Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco (Usa), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto, Montréal & Quèbec city (Canada), Copenhagen ( Denmark), London (Uk) and Dublin (Ireland). We would be happy to provide references from people with whom we have done house swaps. They will confirm the care with which you can expect us to treat your home.
For 2010 we are open to offers, but our particular interest is for: Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto ( Japan), Cancun, Tulum, Playa del Carmen (Mexico), New York City , Boston, Hawaii, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Florida Keys (Usa), Prague ( Czech Republic), Amsterdam ( Netherlands), Cote Azur (France) Alps or Hong Kong . Terracina could be described a perfect mixture of beautiful beach, crystal sea water, archaeology, history, good restaurants, cheap shopping and food and central located village. We would be proud to share it with you.

Dates are flexible, but we won't be able to let you stay in the apartment from June to September as we rent it.
Non simultaneus exchange are our favourite cause we get the chance to know the exchangers!
