Cosy apartment, on the first floor (in a building of three), with no lift; all modern conveniences, quiet & friendly neighbourhood; two bedrooms (one single and one double beds) with possibility of third bed in the study; PC with DSL Internet access at your disposal; sunny balcony in the back with lots of flowers where you can enjoy your meals; private garage for medium size car.

Pedrouços (Maia) is a peaceful and popular neighbourhood just one kilometre away from Oporto town north entrance;
Our home is close to a bus stop (300 m) leading to Oporto towncentre, with all the facilities within a close range: café, supermarket, grocery (in our street), mall, swimming pool, hospital, pharmacy, banks (5'-10' by car)...
Seaside is about 15' drive (bus/car) from our house, as also Douro riverbanks in the historical area of Oporto town (World heritage by Unesco) where you can visit the famous wine cellers and make the Douro Cruise of Six Bridges; or visit rich architectural and cultural sites allover town and region: Alvaro Siza's and Rem Koolhaas' buildings; Gustave Eiffel bridges; or take the Baroque circuit of Porto’s churches and palaces; other activities availables: Beach/Sea, Windsurfing, Tennis, Hiking, Leisure park, Historical sites, Cinema, Theatres, Night club, Museum, Casino, Golf…
Close to the main highway access to north: 40 km to Guimarães, first capital of Portugal; Braga - 50 km; Viana do Castelo - 70 km; and to south: Coimbra - 100 km; Lisboa - 300 km.

À propos de nous

We're a couple of Language teachers (Manuel and São) in our early fourties. Our son, Pedro, is 16 years old. Usually we travel with another friend of ours, Isabel, also a Language teacher.
We have made five home exchanges so far with a nice Canadian family, a Spanish, two French and an Italien.
We enjoy to travel and to meet new people.
We speak French, Spanish and English.

Destination

For August, open to proposals.
We prefer location by the sea.
