Beautifully remodeled single family detached home in the heart of the Silicon Valley. Open floor plan, granite gourmet kitchen with all amenities. Master suite has a 2 person jacuzzi tub and walk in closet. Brand new 1000 sq ft stone patio (see photo) and big landscaped yard with above ground pool. Outdoor living room with fireplace. Incredibly comfortable home with queen and king sized beds, LCD TV, Wifi, Vonage, Cable, Washer/dryer etc.

Quartier

Quiet, suburban neighborhood with close highway access, and less than 30 minutes from either San Francisco (north) or San Jose (south) or Pacific Ocean (west). 10 minutes from Standford, Palo Alto, and local train stations that will take you all over the area and connect to Amtrak. Wine country is 1 hour away, and Yosemite and Lake Tahoe are less than 4 hours away. Large park, Shopping and Amenities are walking distance from house. House is on cul-de-sac with a mix of young families and older adults. This is truly the best of California living.

À propos de nous

We are 2 well-traveled adults (45 and 32) who have job flexibility to work from anywhere in the world. We want to expose our daughter (9) to another culture, while having a home base to explore all that Spain has to offer. Dad speaks fluent Spanish, and our daughter attends the nearby Spanish immersion school. My Spanish is passable, but I am excited about learning to speak better! We love to travel and feel that living in a country gives us a chance to understand the culture better. We haven't ever exchanged homes, but have both lived abroad in rented accommodations. We are also active SCUBA divers, hikers, rafters... really anything that keeps us outdoors. Indoors, we like to cook, watch movies, play games. Summer day camp for kids under 12 is less than .25 mile away at the school.

Destination

We would really like to spend 2 - 3 months abroad during the summer of 2008. Our home is fully equipped for someone in a similar situation (we "work from home" in high-tech jobs) with high speed internet running through the house, Wifi, printer / fax / scanner, multiple monitors, 2 phone lines, etc.
