Maison

Detached 4 bedhouse each with own bathroom and well suited for children. Driver and 6-seater car available, plus two maids available daily one of whom can cook various indian and western food if needed. All staff speak english. Airport pickup can be arranged easily by our driver.

The house has a nice big balcony outside the master bedroom, a garden to the side of the house and a terrace at the front of the house. There are fans in every room and aircondition units but many people find they don't need the aircon on alot because the fans work very well and Bangalore is not a humid city.

The villa has marble flooring and is within a wonderfull quiet, safe compound with 24 hours security.

There is internet access, all modern conveniences in the kitchen, digital tv with many english stations, plus dvd players.

India is notorious for its power cuts. The compound however, has a back up system so if the power cuts out, within seconds, it comes back on again to the back up system and this will be activated until the full power is switched on again.

The house is within a compound that is an established place with many foreigners living here among wealthy locals. There is a wonderful club house with two great pools plus kids pool. Also included is a gym, tennis courts, bar, cafe and indian restaurant.

We are situated in an area that is very close to the city center, 15 min away from airports, many trips can be taken from this location to wonderful Belur and Halebit, Maysor, Nandini Hills, heritage temples...All the needs are inside the compound; supermarket, dry cleaner, doctor, beauty parlor..

Quartier

Outside of the compound, nearby, is all the necessary shops needed for daily life. Bangalore city is approx 30 minutes away downtown. Due to Indian traffic being hectic, this time can take longer during rush hour. Bangalore is a vibrant, hectic city so living out in the suburbs to the east of the city is advantageous to escape the 24 hour noise. There is lots to see via car for a week and then maybe flying off somewhere else in India. There are two cats residing in the house which will be looked after by the maids - they are very friendly and are never a bother with anyone. Its a very child friendly compound - India is a child friendly country. For golfers there is a nice easy course about 1.30 hours away by car with some lovely views - a very relaxing day. You don't carry your own clubs in India, they have people that carry them for you.
The weather in Bangalore is a lovely, dry heat.

À propos de nous

My husband and I have a small toddler and have lived in various parts of Asia for many years. We like to travel alot, but our main interest is to try to visit our home (I am from the Uk and he is from Germany) once or twice a year. We always have problems finding accommodation with family or friends that can accommodation all 3 of us in the UK.
We like to come to the UK in the summer and if possible during the winter time.
We are also open to other countries to exchange with at other dates - the July date isn't changeable.

Destination

Our first priority is to go to the UK for a family get together in July 2008 for the dates listed. The dates are not flexible for this time. We are wanting to stay near the Guildford/Godalming/Farnham, Surrey area. Anywhere within a 15 mile radius of Godalming is good.
We ideally are looking for a 4 bed house.

We are open minded to any other countries at other times of the year.
