Maison

4 bed 2 bath house with large rear deck overlooking pool. There are 2 double and 2 single bedrooms, (one double is currently used as a office). The house catches breezes from all directions and also has fans in all rooms. The swimming pool is salt water chlorinated (low chlorine) and has a slide. The house has polished wooden floorboards throughout and the decor is modern and simple.

Quartier

The house is situated within 5 mins walk of the train station, approx 15 mins to the city. It is on the top of a rise on a quiet street around 8k NW of the city. It is easy to access highways to go both up and down the coast from here. There is a large park just at the top of the street.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 4. Stefan my husband is originally from Germany but his family moved to Australia when he was 4 and to Brisbane when he was 8. His family are still here in the next suburb, which was part of the reason why we moved here 4 years ago from London where we met. Stefan lived there for 10 years before coming back here. He is a journalist. I am English and lived there all my life before coming here, which was a bit of an adjustment but now I love it. It's so easy to get about and always warm. We have 2 girls who are 5 and 8, they attend a Steiner school about 15 mins drive away. When I am not busy with the kids I work part time waitering at outside catering functions and events.

Destination

I am looking to swop to a house or flat somewhere in South London or Surrey. We would be happy with a 2 bed as long as there are 2 singles for the kids. We don't necessarily need a car there. We are happy for you to drive our car here- you need one more here! We have a small dog, 4 chickens (fresh eggs - yummy) and a swimming pool which would need attention while you were here but there are other people who could also look after things if you wanted to go away for a few days.
