Maison

Our home is modern, but with nice touches of wood beams. It has a swimming pool, but water would likely be too cold for swimming at the time when we wish to swap. The house offers two terraces, one in the back, and a very sunny one in front where we enjoy having our meals on the many sunny days in April. The bathroom has bath and shower. The WC are separate. The small living room has a fireplace, scarcely used in the Spring, and two leather couches. There is a nice dining room.

Quartier

The house is located in a nice airy suburban environment, very close (walking distance) to the heart of the internationally known city of Sarlat. Sarlat is a restored medieval city, one of the most beautiful in France. The town offers an array of nice typical restaurants and boutiques. For the gourmet, may we stress the fact that Perigord is foie gras country at its best...! Also, Sarlat is at the heart of the "chateaux" country, with tens of fantastic historic sites within a radius of 40 kilometers.

À propos de nous

We are a recent couple, both over 60. Mireille is French, a retired geography and history Lycée teacher, who loves travelling, history, and most of things related to culture. Antoine is from Québec, Canada, a retired federal civil servant and later international consultant for environmental programs. He enjoys nature, photography, fishing, and, like Mireille, most of things related to culture. Also, he cooks and appreciates gourmet food.

Destination

We hope for a 30 days exchange to a warm area close to the sea. We love golfing, swimming in the sea, strolling along the shore and/or in cultural/historic areas, shopping.
