Maison

This is our holiday home and we love it! It is in Yalikavak on the Bodrum Peninsula. It has views to 2 bays close enough to hear the sea lapping but on a slight incline so you still get panoramic as well as close up views of the sea and mountains.
The house is on 3 storey's - the bottom one being independent and with a separate access.
There is air conditioning in all living and bedrooms.
The kitchen has all amenities including washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer, water machine etc. There are 3 large TV's, DVD players and Playstation.
The master bedroom has large round blue leather bed with amazing views of the ocean as you sit up in bed looking out through the patio doors which lead on to one of the balconies.
There is another bedroom with a double bed, and in the self contained lower apartment there is a bedroom sleeping 2 in a double and 2 twin beds. There is also a single pull-out bed. There are bed settees for a firther 6 people but that would overcrowd the house so we don't use those usually.
There are 5 bikes at the house = one with an optional child seat.

Quartier

The village is located where the med meets the aegean. There is a new marina in the town as well as the old fishing harbour. There are a wealth of excellent restaurants all on the sea front which is long and characterful. There is a blend of old Turkish culture and westernised amenities.
There is a hotel yards away on the coast that allows us and our guests to use their facilities (pools, loungers, as much to eat and drink as you can, watersports, and entertainment) for a very modest sum. Many other hotels nearby allow people to use pool and facilities in exchange for buying drinks at the bar.
Neaby Bodrum (by car or bus which stops about 10 metres from our house) there is a beautiful cosmopolitan harbour, many shops with bargains to be bartered for, and many restaurants and bars. There is also an excellent waterpark not far away.

I am an 'entrepreneur' and my husband is a FInancial Director of an online electronics company. We have 4 children boys aged 6 and 14 and girls aged 14 and 15 (2 are twins). We like to travel and to to relax together eating out and taking part in some sports such as dinghy sailing. The eldest boy loves rugby, the youngest football, and the girls have a horse. We have a large Victorian home in Cheshire, UK also, which is available for swapping too. It is central in England, semi rural but convenient for many tourist centres such as The Lakes, Chester, Wales. But is a great part of England in it's own right.

Destination

We need to stay in school holidays but people can stay in our home in Turkey at anytime. It does not have to be simultaneous.
