Maison

Our home is large (200sqm)well furnished,comfortable on two floors.
Two self contained flats of 100sqm each, with 3 beds on each level,open plan living/dining kitchen and wonderful verandahs overlooking the mountains opposite and the Med(18kms) in the distance.
On the ground floor there is a nursery,our son's bedroom,our bedroom with en suite shower room.Large open plan living/dining (40sqm)with access to our ground floor verandah.
On the top floor three bedrooms,bathroom ,open plan living/dining and a green verandah full of house plants.
Our home was built in 1998 and has most of the modern comfort,TV/DVD combo by Satellite access,internet by dial up(too far from the phone exchange)Games for children between 1 and 5,adults bicycles (VTT),kids bike.An above ground pool of 7x3 meters with lovely uninterrupted views to the sea.We have owned our home for only two years and there is still few bits and bobs to finish, Ie back kitchen and the basement.
We are facing south east and have the most wonderful sunrises from June to October for the early risers :)
As our house is set up as two self contained apartments,non simultaneous exchanges are a possibility as long as you do not mind sharing the house with us.

Quartier

At 350 meters altitude(10 minutes drive from the main town)in a dead end street with no through traffic.
No neighbours at the front,a writers summer residence at the back(very quiet)
We love our home for its tranquillity,wonderful views and get away from it all feel,while still only 10 minutes drive down to the town center.
Our neighborood is pretty mutlticultural with different nationalities,retirees,families and holiday homes.
We have hiking trails starting from our front door that lead to the Med or the hills around us.
Barcelona(Spain) is at 160 kms distance allowing you to enjoy daytrips with ease.
As well as the Spanish Costa Brava beaches all within 40 minutes drive away.
Our region "Le Roussillon gets 300 days of sunshine per year and has a lot to offer the holidaymaker.
Third largest wine producing region in the country with Cave visits available.
A lot of history and wonderful architecture for you to enjoy.
Long sandy beaches with lovely scenic coastal villages.
The proximity of truly beautiful wilderness area,skiing at 2 hrs.
Our little town of 4500 has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable,Casino,supermarkets,good local restaurants,a small cinema,bakers,delicatessens,a wonderful spa,tennis courts,all within a 5 minutes drive.

À propos de nous

We are a Franco-British couple that has recently returned to live in France, after a long spell in the UK.We have two well behaved children(most of the times) born in 2002 and 2005,they are well travelled and are adaptable to new surroundings and locales.
Nina works as an air cabin crew and I(Sebastien) work as a dispatch rider.
We love nature,hiking ,swimming,running,scubadive(warm water only) on occasion,good books,good food and to have fun as a family.
Our household is bilingual French and English and so are the books!
We love to travel and experience new things and we always try to live like the natives on holidays.
Home exchanging seems to be the ideal way for us to travel now as our children need a bit more home comfort.

Destination

We are quite open minded about possible destinations as yet,but would love an exchange home with a family set up in mind .

For the October holiday (25/10/08-02/11/08) Mainland Europe.
For Christmas holiday (20:12/08-03/01/09) Thailand,China or Japan are favored.
For the February holiday(07/02/09-21/02/09) mainland Europe again.
