Maison

Casa de Las Prismas is a lovely 2 year old home decorated nicely in both Mexican and African themes. The kitchen is huge and boasts a granite island with 6 burner stove. We have enough small appliances to open a store I'm told! Large living room with gorgeous rattan furnishings, satellite (Canadian) TV, DVD/CD player, etc. Beautifully appointed bathrooms.....showers only. The bedroom is very spacious and has a sitting area along with a California King size bed. The office/sewing room has a 24" iMac with DSL. The bedroom wing is approximately 1500 s/f and is the only area that is air conditioned. All of the other rooms have ceiling fans.
There is another bathroom just outside of the kitchen which is used when you're enjoying the pool.
Gorgeous garden planted with exotic palms....and a two person hammock to while away the sultry afternoon hours. Huge terrace and small jacuzzi.
We also have three rental units which would be vacant during the swap. Our cleaning person comes in once a week at a charge of $35.00 for the entire day. He not only cleans the house but does any gardening that needs attention.
Our vehicle cannot be used because of the laws here in Mexico. Sorry about that.

Quartier

Our neighbourhood has a perfect blend of Mexican and North American families.......lots of chickens and quite a few dogs....in fact, on occasion we hear a goat bleating!!! Because La Cruz is such a small fishing village, walking is the way to see it properly. We have many many restaurants here which provide a varied selection from German to Italian to British....and all within 5 blocks!! It's a two block walk to catch a bus.....and Mexico has one of THE best transportation systems anywhere in the world. Although we're only two blocks from the ocean, it's actually about a 10 minute walk to a swimming beach.

My husband and I travel quite a lot and almost exclusively by ourselves. We both speak English as well as Spanish. We relocated to Mexico from Canada in 2004 and haven't looked back! We're non smokers but do enjoy a cold beer at the cocktail hour....and, of course a glass of wine with dinner. G retired from a coal exporting company while I said goodbye to the Travel agent business. Our children are grown and remain in Canada.

Destination

This could be a non-simultaneous exchange as we have our rental units which could be visited rather than the main house.
