Maison

Ours is a new, 1200ft2, 3 bedroom home within a short walk to Maranacook Lake. Open layout, granite counters, cherry cabinets, cherry and leather furniture, full basement, 2 baths with air jet tub, bamboo flooring, porch, huge white pines and red oaks.

Our home is outfitted with new appliances, HDTV, audio and wireless network as well as exercise equipment downstairs.






Quartier

We are a family of three loving our life on a pristine lake in Maine. Ours is a new, 1200ft2 home within a short walk to Maranacook Lake, known for it's great fishing, loons, ospreys and eagles.

Though we are 7 miles from the state capital of Augusta our home is situated in an incredibly quiet setting in the woods, part of a winter/summer community created from a well known boys summer camp that closed in the 1940's. Many of the original buildings still stand, converted into summer camps for folks from Maine to Massachusetts.

Access to the lake is a 3 minute walk, with 3 separate swimming areas and a private boat launch for the community. Kayaking, canoeing and motor boating/skiing are all options.

We are less than a 1.5 hour drive from the finest skiing in the New England, including Sugarloaf, Sunday River and Saddleback mountains. Sugarloaf and Sunday River boast 2 of the top 100 golf courses in the US, and a 3rd top 100 (Belgrade Lakes Country Club) is just 20 minutes away.

We are 1 hour from the ocean, well known ports of Camden, Rockland and Rockport.

You are welcome to use our mountain and road bikes, kayaks and canoe.

We are a family of three, a single dad who is a healthcare professional, 13 year old son and 8 year old adopted daughter from India.

We love to bicycle, hike, ski, swim, kayak and travel. Though we love our lifestyle in Maine, we think a home exchange is a great way to explore other cultures, meet new friends and have new experiences.

Destination

Dates are flexible, an non-simultaneous exchange is very possible. We would love access to water, sporting activities, cultural opportunities.
