This 3260 square foot home boasts a newly remodeled kitchen which overlooks the greatroom - this is room which is set in tranquility as all 10 large windows overlooks the vast gardens. In the greatroom where we do most of our entertaining, the dining area seats up to 12 people, there is a granite top bar with barstools, as well as a sunken living room. The home has mostly hard wood floors, and downstairs, a workout room with a treadmill and spinning bicycle. Enjoy a 1000 square foot deck in the very private backyard surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens. For your entertainment, the main living room seats 8-10 comfortably in fron of fireplace and 50" plasma HDTV. Two of the bedrooms have a 36" TV, and there is a Dvd player both in the Master bedroom as well as the main living room. This house is located in midtown, only 10 minutes from downtown Anchorage. The Coastal trail is a 10 minute walk away, which goes for miles from the mountains to the Cook Inlet. In the winter, you can cross country ski on the beautifully groomed trail at no cost. Also 15 minutes away is Hilltop, a downhill skiing area, and 45 minutes away in Girwood is the Aleyska Resort. If you are interested in the outdoors, drive a short distance to the rapids, go glacier hiking, snowshooing, kayaking, and of course FISHING! We are 2 hours from the most popular Kenai River, and if you don't want to drive more than 10 minutes, go to Ship Creek in the middle of downtown Anchorage where fishing is free and abundant.

We live on a very quiet street, which is only 5 minutes to the University or Hospitals. Here you can take lesiurely walks in this much desired and well manicured neighborhood known as College Village. It is a short walk to public transporation, and downtown is a 10 minute drive away where the 5th Avenue Mall is located (Nordstroms, Gap, etc.), as well as an abundance of other retail stores. Also minutes away are 12 movie theatres and great restaurant. There is the Delaney Park Strip a few miles away, where there are baseball fields, parks, and 10 tennis courts.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 5 and both my husband and I own a souvenir business located in downtown Anchorage. We love to play tennis, bike ride, walk, and take advantage of the outdoors here in Anchorage.

We are interested in swapping our house mostly in the winter months -- from November -March.

Destination

In the US, we would like to go to Maui and find a place which is within walking distance to a beach and has a heated pool. We would like to go to Arizona and find a house with a pool, as well.

We are flexible in the dates of traveling but only wish to travel from Nov-March.
