Quartier

Located in the country on a private hiltop approximately 2 miles from the village of Los Barriles.
Los Barriles is located approx. 60 miles northeast of the international airport outside of San Jose del Cabo, and is situated on a beautiful bay on the "Sea of Cortez".
This destination has just recently been discovered, by the "mainstream", it has always been famous for its windsurfing and kite sailing in the winter, as well as its incredible big game sport fishing.
Besides the fishing and windsurfing, you can also kayak, dive and snorkel, beachcomb, hiking , biking, or just laying in a hammock with your favorite novel.
this is a very "bilingual" community with a large gringo presence. We have many restaurants, a medical clinic, banks/money exchange.
For those who get tired of the quiet solitude, we are only 1 1/2 hours from Cabo San Lucas....nightlife, golf, sighseeing, etc.

Myself (Russ) is retired from a procurement position with a gov't water Agency, followed by a eight year stint as a Realtor. My wife Marylu is also retired from the Real estate profession.
This is the third home we have built in in Baja, Mexico and have lived there off and on for 13+ years. We also have a home on the central California coast (Santa Cruz/ Monterey Bay) where we have lived for 30 years.
We have children and grandchildren in Houston, Tx. and the San Francisco bay area.
I enjoy fishing, hiking, golf, sailing, photography,kayaking, and reading.
Marylu is involved with arts and crafts, and has a home business making and selling jewelry and purses.
We speak some spanish.
