Maison

I have a spacious studio in a beautiful old 1930's building, located in the lower 'Queen Anne' neighborhood of Seattle. My first floor corner unit condo has new wood floors, wifi (as well as cable internet hookups), beautiful natural light and old world charm. I have a large flat screen television and game console/DVD player. The kitchen has all the basic amenities, including a microwave, but the refrigerator is small. The condo is set up with an entryway, a small office area outside the bathroom, and a very large 'great room' - the bed is at one end, against the wall behind a large book shelf and feels like a separate room. There is also a small dinette area outside the kitchen. There are laundry facilities onsite, a few doors down from my unit (but not in my unit.) The building is quiet and my neighbors are delightful.

Quartier

My condo is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Seattle Center, which is home to (among other things), the Space Needle, five theatres, the opera, the ballet, the Pacific Science Center, and the Children's Museum. Downtown Seattle is a quick trip on the monorail (taken from the Seattle Center), a very short bus ride from the bus stop that is one block away, or a twenty minute walk from my front door. I am located at the end of a very quite dead end street, next to a park with a tennis court. It is a perfect hideaway right in the middle of the city.

I am an actress (primarily in theatre) who does marketing research online for my 'day job'. This gives me flexibility in travel, because I can work from anywhere in the world, so long as I have an internet connection. My boyfriend and I love to travel. He speaks Russian and Spanish as well as English, and has lived in St. Petersburg and Prague. We also spent close to a year in Buenos Aires a few years ago. He recently finished carpentry school, and his schedule is now as flexible as mine. He can accept (or pass on) work and take whatever time off we can afford.

Ideally, we'd love to go somewhere (anywhere outside of the US) for a few months. Again, our timeline is flexible and we're happy to hear from anyone who is interested in an exchange.

Destination

Our dates are very flexible. We're looking for an adventure, and are happy to consider most any country, for any reasonable length of time. We have a car and are happy to do a car exchange. We have two cats, but unless you are a cat lover, I would probably ask a friend or family member to take care of them while we're gone.
