Cozy Mediterranean style home in Long Beach California. Just a ten minute walk to the beach, shops, casual and formal dining. The location is great for trips to Disneyland, Beverly Hills, beaches and attractions. 30 minutes by car to most tourist spots.

The home has two bedrooms; one is set up as an office. A "guest cottage" has one sleeping space, closet and bath with shower. The master bedroom has en-suite bath.

Very airy living spaces. Living room has tile entry, elegant, modern furnishings, a game area and wood-burning fireplace. Wonderful for holiday gatherings in winter, breezy and bright in summer.

Living room opens onto slate patio with lap pool and 8 person spa. The outdoor living room has comfortable and up-to-date furniture and fire pit. The outdoor dining bar with built-in stainless steel appliances include grill, mini-fridge and wet bar sink with ice cooler. Outdoor LCD TV and sound system in summer months.

The kitchen is also up-to-date with stainless appliances. The formal dining room also overlooks the pool. The small den has plasma TV, stereo and wood-burning stove.

No air conditioning (not required), forced-air heating, DSL and wireless indoors and out.

Quartier

The home is on a corner suburban lot in an older neighborhood of Long Beach. It is a diverse beach community with a mix of friendly people. There are restaurants within walking distance both casual and upscale. Shops abound in the quaint Belmont Shore district. The community is welcoming to all types of folks. Neighbors are friendly but not obtrusive.

Downtown Long Beach has a world-class aquarium, nightlife and dining. A ferry to Catalina Island is a great day-trip. This is not a "tract home." The homes in the neighborhood are mostly single-family, but there are some condos and apartments. Most homes are a mediterannean or Spanish style with stucco and tile roofs. Palm trees sway everywhere.

The home is owned by a male gay couple. We are in our late 40's and work in the Information Technology fields. We spend much time outdoors and at the beach. We both speak only English, but have lot's of bilingual friends that speak Spanish, French & Romanian.

Destination

2 Adults looking for an apartment or condo in the Copacabana or Impanema beach areas in Rio de Janeiro. Also open to similiar in Buenos Aires. We are very open to dates, but the locations must be safe and welcoming.
