My double storey home has 3 bedrooms (one will lodge my personal belongings while I am away), so 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, guest cloakroom, open plan livingarea with modern kitchen with all mod-cons. Drying courtyard off kitchen leads to garage.

Monitored alarm system. Secure, gated, access controlled Village in the middle of the historical city of Port Elizabeth. Built on one of the 1st racecourses in Port Elizabeth, Greenacres Village has the feel of open spaces, while within easy (even walking) distance of shops and excellent medical facilities. I wake up every morning to the wonderful call of our resident family of Burchell's Coucals, and the chirping of my tame robins.

Easy to maintain - weekly cleaning service available. Covered patio offers outdoor living, leading into small easy to maintain private garden.

I only ask that you feed my garden birds while I am away and keep their birdbath filled!

Within an hour's drive of a number of Game Parks (Addo Elephant Park and Shamwari being world renowned) - many offering Big Five tourist attractions. Also beautiful golf estates aplenty, and country rambles to keep you busy

Port ELizabeth is one of the oldest South African cities with loads of character and history, yet also one of the fastest developing communities in the country, with the new Coega Harbour breathing new life and business into the area.

Beautiful beaches and temperate climate most year round. Very good shopping and medical facilities close by.

Theatre and musical cultural activities available for those who, like myself, enjoy these.

Good sporting facilities, including a number of good golf courses, exciting fishing, surfing and loads of other outdoor activities.

South Africa is a wine lovers paradise - take a gentle drive along the beautiful garden route from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town stopping at the many beautiful sites along the way - wander from wine cellar to wine cellar - don't miss the beautiful Robertson Valley - visit historic Montagu - and amble back through mountaineous splendour, stopping to marvel at the Ostrich Palaces in Oudtshoorn.

Surf with dolphins, share the wonders of whalewatching and be enthralled with the beauty and excitement of deep sea diving.

For the brave at heart there is bungy jumping, white water rafting or mountain climbing.

Definitely the destination for those looking for fun and adventure, but who also enjoy the opportunity to "just relax" sometimes and marvel at the beauty of starry skies beyond description.

I am an adventurous 60 something single (divorced) lady, and pride myself on being a respected business person in Property Administration. I am the Managing Member of my company which takes care of the administration of more than 200 shared ownership developments.

My daughter, who also lives in Port Elizabeth, works for my company while continuing with her post graduate studies.

My son lives and works in Bristol, UK and I am very anxious to set up an annual "swap" arrangement that would allow me to spend more than just the usual 3 - 4 week holiday with him.

I am an animal lover, but when my last pets (2 beautiful ginger cats who lived with me all their 19 years) died some 4 years ago I decided to concentrate on my garden birds, who survive in "their boundary free birdcage" - my peaceful garden - while I wander off on my travels.

My home is very special to me, and I can assure you that I would treat any home of yours in exactly the same way I do my own.

Destination

Will need to be a simultaneous exchange. Dates are flexible and I am really happy to consider any time of the year. Would like to be able to make it an annual swap as I have a son in the UK with whom I like to spend time each year.

I would prefer to be within an hour to two hours maximum from London. Areas of preference are close to Bath / Bristol or Oxford.
