Really great loft, about 1300 sq.ft on the 5th floor, elevators, totally private, full kitchen, bathroom (great water pressure!), one bedroom with a full-size bed (sleeps two) and a very comfortable fold-out futon upstairs in the sleeping loft, and a den perfect for curling up with a good book. The place has a skylight and huge windows, lots of light, good air-conditioning/heating, very comfortably furnished. Parking space is included. Security building.

This would be a perfect swap for a couple or a single person. I do have two cats and they would need to be fed, etc., but I can also arrange to have someone come in and do that if you are not willing. You have to be nice to them though! I am looking for a reliable, trustworthy person and would ask for references. I can also provide, of course.



Quartier

The loft is located in a former paper factory in a very convenient area of downtown L.A. - loads of restaurants, bars, museums, galleries etc. all within 5-10 minutes driving distance. All main freeways nearby. Union Station is 1 mile away and all main subway/train lines run from there. Also near Little Tokyo, Chinatown and Olviera Street.

I am a nonprofit professional who lives and works in downtown L.A. My organization works for open space and parks. I have one grown son, and I like to travel. I plan to visit friends in London and would love to be able to find a good swap!

Destination

There's some flexibility in the dates I'd like to swap, but only a day or so one way or another. I am visiting friends in London so I am looking for a reasonably central area that's convenient to public transportation. I am totally open to any type of housing (house, flat, etc.).
