Maison

Our home is spacious and comfortable, especially for young families with children. The house is a regular 152 square meter single plan house from 1983. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 of them are children’s rooms. It has 2 bath rooms with a bathtub in one of them. The kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave) is with an eating area. There is also a utility room, with a washing machine and a tumble drier.
There are two TVs (with cable), DVD (only few films), video, a stereo, a computer with ADSL internet (2048/512), printer.
The garden is relatively large. There is also a carport with a tool shed, where the freezer is located.
The house is located at the end of a blind road. There are some green public areas just next to the house.
We are non smokers and would prefer it if you didn’t smoke inside the house.

Quartier

Ferslev is placed just south of Aalborg, only 2 km from the motorway E45, which can be seen on the maps below.
Ferslev is a small quiet village (approximately 800 inhabitants). It has some playgrounds, and an area for soccer. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful.
Close to Ferslev there is Poulstrup Sø (4 km), which is recreational area for the citizens of Aalborg, and the surrounding area (it is also for tourists ;-). In Svenstrup (4km) it is possible to buy all the needed things for a normal household. Aalborg Storcenter (6 km) is the biggest shopping centre in northern Jutland. Aalborg C. (12 km) offers several opportunities, such as the famous “Jomfru Ane Gade”, museums, theatre, restaurants, pedestrian streets with old houses and shops, fun-centre, the Aalborg tower, bowling and swimming baths.
Rebild bakker (20 km) is mostly known for the yearly 4th of July celebration. It is a relatively large public area, with museum, restaurants, hills, woods, and open land. It is perfect for a family trip, when the weather allows it.
The beaches of the western coast (45 km) are known as the best sand beaches of Denmark. A lot of young people come during the summer. The beach is so wide and long, that there is plenty of room for everybody (Some places it is allowed to drive on the beach). On the eastern coast (35 km), there are some nice beaches that are perfect for families with small kids.

À propos de nous

We are a young family consisting of Randi (36), Sune (32), Morten (11), Malene (6) and Søren (4). Randi (the mother of the house) is a social teacher, who used to work with mentally handicapped adults, but has now gotten a new job working with drug addicts. Sune (the father) has a Master of Science, and is working for Texas Instruments as a project lead. Morten is the oldest boy, and he plays keyboard and badminton. Malene is the only girl, and she likes to play with dulls, pearls etc. Søren, the youngest boy, likes to cook, so he has his own “cooking equipment”, along with the rest of his toys.

Destination

Dates and locations are flexible. We are open for suggestions. We are also open for a car exchange if the exchange is far away. We are also willing to make bicycle exchange.
