Maison

Our house is a modern 4 bedroom semi-detatched family home built in 2002. There are two double and two single bedrooms.The smallest bedroom is used as a study/den with a PSP and X box 360
The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge freezer microwave double oven and ceramic hob. The utility room has a washing machine and dryer. There is a downstairs toilet off the utility room. The master bedroom is ensuite
In front of the house there is off street parking for three cars. At the back is an enclosed garden with a large deck and flower beds and lawn. While the house is centrally located in a small friendly estate it overlooks farmland to the rear.
There is an open fireplace in the living room and central heating throughout.

Quartier

The neighbour is a safe friendly neighbourhood with one entrance and exit road,where children can still play out on bicycles and rollerblades. We have three bicycles available for use. The houses are mainly occupied by young families although there are also some young single professionals.
It is only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a large 24 hour supermarket less than 5 minutes drive.
Tullamore is centrally located on the mainline bus and rail networks with direct connections to Dublin, Galway and the West coast by rail and connections throughout the country by bus. It is 65 miles from Dublin and 75 miles from Galway and is a great base for exploring Ireland. The midlands are an area of great historical and environmental interest surrounded by working and preserved peat bogs with bird and nature reserves. The largest early Christian 5th Century Monastic site is within 25 miles and there are other sites of historical and cultural importance including Birr Castle site of the largest telescope in the world in victorian times, and the stoneage passage tombs within a couple of hourse drive.
The town has several championship golf courses in a 10 miles radius, horse racing, fishing and cruising on both the canals and river Shannon. There is an excellent equestrian centre in the town and many other sporting activies available in the area

À propos de nous

I am a single parent with two busy active teenagers ason of 17 and a daughter of 13.
I work full time for the local Health Services Excecutive where I am Manager of Training.
I am a member of the local Toastmasters club and have been in a book group for over ten years. So as you can see we love talking and reading in our house. I am also a bit of a history buff and love talking visitors to places of historical and cultural interest.
Both kids love Basketball and Danny has an All Ireland Schools Championship medal. He also is involved in Takwondo. Roisin loves drama and music and is a bit of a drama queen.
We love to travel and meet new friends and visit new places and think house swapping is a great idea. Last year we swapped with a Spanish family and will be in Spain in Aug 2007.
Lastly we have two rescued cats one who is calm and serene and one is is a bit of a deliquent!!! However the live mostly outside and generally terrorise the neighbourhood. All the neighbourhood children love them and the are possibly the only roller blading and bike riding cats in Ireland! So if you can cope with all that we would love to see you in Ireland

Destination

We are open to all offers from weekends in Europe to weeks else where in school holidays but would particularly like East Coast USA in Summer 2008
