This brand new ground floor apartment is on the Apollon Holiday village, with large swimming pool, on-site restaurant, mini-market, gym, turkish bath and games room.
The apartment has master bedroom with kingsize bed, ensuite shower room and balcony. There are two other bedrooms with twin beds, one of which has lots of toys and equipment for children. This includes travel cot, highchair, potty, training seat, microwave sterliser etc. and toys for most ages. In the 20ft lounge/kitchen there's two sofas and a tv/DVD with a selection of films. The large balcony with table and chairs overlooks the large swimming pool. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and equipped for 6 and the linen and cleaning will be done for you during your stay.

Quartier

Located in the Didim district, this apartment has a great location. 10 minutes walk to the Apollon Temple with its restaurants it is about 30 minutes downhill walk to the nearest quiet beaches in the turkish resort of Maveshir with its authentic fish restaurants overlooking the sea and traditional daily market. But you don't have to walk there, a courtesy bus from the holiday village runs 5 times during the day and twice at night. This bus also takes you to the Apollon Temple area and down to the bustling holiday resort of Altinkum with its three beaches, restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs. Any restaurant in the area will take you home by car free of charge after your meal.
There is masses to do locally. The local aquapark is just a short trip bus bus, as are the ancient sites of Miletus and Priene. You can also get to Epheseus easily by local bus or organised tour. Bodrum is accessible by bus, cheap coach tour or ferry and there are ferries for daytrips to the greek islands of Kos, Samos and Leros. Further afield there are affordable day trips to Pammukale and Dalyan (where the African Queen was shot).. you can even get an overnight trip to Istanbul!

À propos de nous

My husband Nigel works as a lecturer in Museum Conservation and I'm taking a career break from working in theatre and Museums. Not surprisingly we love travel and combining visiting historic sights with time on the beach. We have two sons, William 5 who is beach and tractor-mad and little Bobby who was born in May 2007.

If work and school prevents us from taking up and exchange, then my retired parents will take our place. They also have an apartment in turkey - but in Kalkan so a double exchange may be possible.

Destination

Looking for an exchange during the school holidays 2008/9 for ourselves (mum, dad and boys aged 6& 1) primarily in the UK or Europe, preference for Yorkshire, Norfolk or near Dublin but open to suggestions. Also open to non-simultaneous swaps in the UK - long weekend in your place, week in ours.

You can also exchange with my retired parents, anywhere in Europe, anytime. Again, does not have to be simultaneous. They have an apartment in Kalkan, Turkey so a two-centre holiday for you is possible.

If we're not interested in exchange, (we live in London) you can rent our apartment at family rates.
