Our home is in an quiet, established neighborhood hidden in the midst of the bustling riverfront town of Peoria, Illinois. Enjoy the laid-back, friendly neighborhood and the convenience of being only minutes from shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
Drive north 2 hours and take in the sights of Chicago, or hop on at the nearest train station and enjoy the scenery on your way to the big city! Spend a day or two sight-seeing in beautiful St. Louis, with its historic buildings and monumental arch! Or go for a joy ride to the country and take in the expansive sky and laid-back atmosphere.
Our stately home is fully furnished and tastefully decorated. It comfortably accommodates 6, and will hold more if necessary. We are pet lovers with 2 cats and 1 dog, so well-behaved animals are welcome.
Bus transportation is available in town, and Peoria is serviced by 1 international and 1 minor airport. Peoria offers 2 malls and many shopping centers, restaurants for every taste, 3 major hospitals, several historic neighborhoods, a bustling downtown and riverfront. It is also well-known for its riverboat casino, the Par-A-Dice and for being the world headquarters for Caterpillar, Inc..

Our neighborhood was established in the mid 1930's and has been lovingly maintained ever since. The historic homes offer a glimpse of American architecture in the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. Though located in the heart of the city, this well-established neighborhood is friendly and quiet. Its well-lit streets and tree-lined drives create a charm and ambiance not found in newer developments. Located just across Sheridan Rd. from The Knolls, Peoria's premier historic neighborhood.
As mentioned above, it is also minutes from the riverfront, malls, dining and casino.
Just minutes' drive to Grandview Drive, often said to be one of the most beautiful drives in America. Grandview boasts glorious mansions with stunning river views. Also in close proximity to historic Moss Ave., which is dotted with mansions dating back to the 1800's, as well as a Frank Lloyd Wright house.

Our party includes 2 adults, a computer engineer at Caterpillar and an Administrative assistant/student. We are tidy and take good care of our home. We enjoy volleyball, sight-seeing, shopping, rock climbing and spending time with friends and family.
