Maison

Our house is a wood house on stilts, surrounded by lush vegetation, just 100 ft from the mainroad to catch a cab or bus, 3 minute walk to the Sandy Bay beach, right next door to a popular restaurant. We have a permanent tenant in the apartment underneath the house, and a guard dog. Our house has a double bed, two singles, and one queen. Large porch running the length of the house, upper deck where you can see the sea. Ceiling fans throughout. Roatan is off the caribbean coast of Honduras, well known for it's scubadiving, and is now a port of call for several cruise ships. It has beautiful beaches, snorkelling, horseback riding, zipline tours.

Quartier

We are in Sandy Bay, about a 15 min cab ride ($1.50 per person) to Coxen Hole, where the airport and banks are, and 10 min cab ride ($1) to West End, the touristy little area with lots of restaurants and diveshops. One of the most wellknown resorts, Anthony's Key, which offers dolphin swims, is about a 10 min walk from our house, as is the Botanical Gardens. Our house is surrounded by a lot of vegetation, and it's a quiet, beautiful getaway, but easily accessible to everything.

À propos de nous

There are 3 of us: myself and my sons, 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. I spent several years travelling the world teaching scubadiving, and then made Roatan my home. Now that I have children, I would like to instill the love of travel in them! I speak English, French and Spanish.

Destination

The exchange would either need to be simultaneous, or my house is currently available until mid-October, so someone could stay now, and then we'd stay at your place next summer.
