Maison

Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood, in a small town. (pop. 46,000) Please check out the pictures that Ive posted uphere. Its a simple, but nice house with 2 bedrooms, a spareroom, 1 bathroom with a tub & separate shower and washingmachine. In my kitchen is a microwave, dishwasher, freezer, blender and coffeemachine. The livingroom has pc with cable internet, a widescreentv, dvdplayer and loads of dvds. In my sons bedroom, theres a bunkbed, toys like lego and playmobil and an extra tv. We have a nice garden in the back, with a table & 4 chairs to enjoy a breakfast or bbq in the summer.

Quartier

I live just below Utrecht (15min drive), in the center of the Netherlands. Within 60min (by car or train) you can be in either Amsterdam, the Hague or Rotterdam. All 4 cities have their own typical tourist attractions; museums, hystorical buildings and many fun things to do with your kids.
In this town (pop. 46,000) there's convenient shopping round the corner, either in 5 min by bike or car, we have 2 small supermarkets nearby and 3 larger ones. There's a public swimmingpool 5 bike minutes away and several playgrounds in the neighbourhood. As well as a childrens farm with large playground. There are nice areas to go walking, inlineskating or cycling.

Im a single mom, 36, with one 14yr son. Ive just graduated this February, being a teacher's aide at a highschool. I have a compassion for teens!
We dont smoke, I usually dont drink alcohol.
My son loves to play computergames, but also likes to hang out with his friends. He likes pets, swimming and nature. I love to cook, long walks outside, music and a good movie. Im picky ;-)
We have 1 cat that needs your care. She is mainly outside but comes also inside for food and a good backrub :-)

I speak English, Dutch and some German & French.

Destination

Public transport close by your house is important to me, since I dont have a drivers license. A bus or train, that goes to nearby cities, or tourist attractions would be great! Convenient shopping closeby (1 mile or less, since Id have to walk) is needed as well, for groceries. Or if you have bikes for us to use, that would help a lot. My son and I are used to a simple life, we dont ask for a lot, and can even share a room, though not preferred. We're not coming for luxuries, but for vacation. We love pets, so if we would have to take care of yours, that would be our pleasure. We're not allergic nor scared ;-) Same goes for your garden or plants; we'd take care of it.
I prefer a simultanious exchange this summer, but Im open for other offers. My dates are pretty stable since we're stuck to schoolvacations. But its got to be sometime from July till the end of August. Please contact me at sammy15nl@yahoo.com
