Maison

Our home is about 2500 sq. ft. on a quarter of an acre, situated in between Tel Hashomer and Bar Ilan University. It is a 12-minute drive or 15-minute bus ride to the center of Tel Aviv. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, A.C. and all amenities. It is Mediterranean-style, with lots of natural stone, iron, glass and wood.The house is attractive and well-kept, and will be cleaned twice a week by our cleaning lady. The neighbors are friendly and helpful, and you can take the dog too, if you like!
We have a small car and a van, and I don't mind lending those out as well, if you are brave enough to drive in Israel!

Quartier

The house is in a moshav, so there is a grocery store up the street and a supermarket, bank, pizzeria and neighborhood cafe within walking distance. The bus to Tel aviv is across the road, and buses to Jerusalem and Haifa are down the street.

We are a family of 5, but 2 are grown up and gone, so only 3 of us will be travelling to the States. My husband and I are geneticists, but my husband now works in business development of biotech companies and I have made a career change to real estate. I am originally Canadian.

Destination

We have to be in Washington, D.C. for a wedding from Aug. 1st. to the morning of Aug. 6th, at which time we leave for Manhattan until Aug.11th. So the house will be available from Aug. 1st-Aug. 11th. If the exchange is 1 person, he or she can stay here for more time before or after those dates, as we have empty bedrooms.
