Maison

Our lovely home has recently been redecorated and re carpeted. It has 3 double bedrooms and 1 single room (currently used as a office but a temporary bed could be used here). Main bathroom has bath, shower,sink and toilet. There are a further two toilets (1 downstairs and 1 ensuite to bedroom 2). The lounge has a beautiful fireplace and gas fire. Kitchen with dining area leading out through the French doors to the conservatory. Beautiful English green garden. UPVC glazing throughout. Sky TV with Sky Sports/Sky Movies.

Quartier

Situated in a quiet, leafy street 2 miles from Burton Town Centre and train station.

We keep a file with details regarding the house and the area. There is so much to see and do.

Trains run direct from Burton to Birmingham City Centre(25 mins) and Derby (10 mins). Derby 10 miles by car.

Our house is in the very centre of England which means that nothing is very far away! There is easy access to all major road and rail routes. We are approximately 30 miles from the beautiful Peak District National Park. Stratford upon Avon (home of Shakespeare and the Royal Shakespeare Company theatres) is only 1 hour away by car. York and its York Minster (Europes greatest gothic cathedral) is 1 hour 40 mins by car. London (one of the worlds cultural capitals) is 2 hours away by train.

Derby city centre is 10 miles away by car and has a large array of shops, shopping malls, cathedral, theatre, restaurants, nightlife and premiership football.

Alton Towers (UK largest theme park and award winner of the Best UK Theme Park 2011) is a short 22 miles away! Twycross Zoo an even shorter 14 miles away!

Burton Upon Trent (in the National Forest) is famous for "Brewing" beer. There are two famous Breweries locally - Marstons and Coors. The National Brewery Museum is in the town centre. It is also the home of the new National Football Centre. Burton has 3 undercover pedestrianised shopping centres, a large multiscreen cinema, pubs, restaurants, nightlife and a large new sports centre with swimming pool. Close by is the National Memorium Arboretum - a combination of Military and Civilian memorials set in 150 acres of trees and gardens.

As you can see - our lovely, cosy and warm home is an super holiday venue, and due to its central location is an ideal base to stay and from which to see England at its best!

À propos de nous

We are Julie & Rob, a married couple, with two children aged 19 and 12. We are both professionals (Finance Officer and Premises Officer). We have never done an exchange before but are keen to try. We take care looking after our home and would do the same with yours.
My husbands brother lives in Mullaloo and we are looking to visit the area for 3/4 weeks between 1st January 2013 and 31st March 2013.
