Maison

We have an Historic 6,000 Sq. Ft. Home that we use as a small Homestay B&B. There are 2 rooms available, each with it’s own bathroom. Both Large rooms have TV’s, DVD players, sm. Refrigerators….Even though Downtown, the home is private with a lovely back yard garden. We have a resident friendly dog, Annie & an outdoor cat, Godfrey.
Due to size of home, we can not vacate this one, but welcome a swap of any kind.

We have 2 other small Historic Homes in separate listings. We use these for Corporate short term rentals. Both are in our Downtown Historic District. One is a Carriage House with 1 bedroom & outside hot tub-fully furnished & equipped. The other is a 2 bedroom-2 bath with large back yard & off-street parking. All are detached & pre Civil War era. Though fully restored with modern conveniences. Check our 2 other Listings.

We are 2 blocks from our Historic Walking Mall. There are many great restaurants & Entertainment on weekends & Museums. Enjoy our Historic Town with wonderful Early American Architecture. & Yes George Washington Slept here, had an office , & owned property! Don't hesitate to contact for more information.

We are in an excellent location [Top of the Shenandoah Valley], for day trips to Washington DC, Baltimore Inner Harbor, Historic Battlefields such as Gettysburg & Antetiem, Manasses Bull Run, New Market & more [all within a 1-2 hour drive. New York is a 5 hour Drive. Other great side trips would be Williamsburg, Jamestown, Fredericksburg, Virginia Wine tours, Philadelphia & more….We can help you with any special interests.

We are Debby & Richie-both artists in our early 50's. Richie is British & I am American. Our children are grown & on their own. We speak English & Debby attempts a tiny bit of Spanish & French. Are into historic restoration & having fun! An Outdoor Barbecue & enjoying our little Pub Room is a favorite entertainment with friends.

We have lots of friends & definitely feel younger than our age. We love music, but fail as musicians. There is a piano in the home. We have not traveled a lot, but would love to. Especially Ireland!

Destination

This can be a non-simultaneous exchange, the dates flexible, we want to go to Southwest USA, Southern Ireland & travel to Islands, Europe & possibly South America.
