Maison

Our large 4-bedroom home is located in the historic town of Sonderborg, on the island of Als, in southern Denmark.

Our home is situated on a quiet, dead-end private street and it has ocean views.

There's a spacious back garden with patios.

There's a car garage.
We also include our Audi sedan car in a home swap.

Our house has,
- 4 bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms
- cable and satelitte TV
- central heating throughout
- adsl internet connection
- all rooms are fully furnished and decorated

A sandy beach is only 200 metres away and it's accessed via a narrow lane.

From our house it's easy walking distance to Sonderborg's central shopping district and it's central "walking" street.

Only a narrow fjord separates the island of Als from Jutland (mainland Europe).
The island of Als is connected to Jutlland by 2 bridges (both located in Sonderborg).
And several ferry services connect the island of Als to other Danish islands.
A train service connects Sonderborg with all areas of Denmark, with connections to all European countries.
And airline service connects Sonderborg directly to Copenhagen (40 minutes) and a few northern European destinations.

The northern border of Germany is only 30 kms away.
The nearest town in northern Germany is Flensburg (30 minutes drive)
From Sonderborg, it's less than a 2 hour drive to Hamburg.

The seaside and harbour town of Sonderborg has a history that dates back 600 years.
It's current population is 27,000.
It's known for it's many schools and colleges.
A new university opens in the second half of 2006.

The island of Als is extremely picturesque.
It is mostly rolling farm lands, but some areas are heavily forested.
There are many sandy beaches.
Small picturesque thatch-roofed villages are connect by narrow winding roads.
In various locations there are Stone Age ruins, all from 3,500 BC.

Our house is situated on a quiet, dead-end private street.
There are only 10 houses on our short street.
We have ocean views from our house.
A sandy beach is only 200 metres away.
It's an easy walk to Sonderborg's main shopping district and central "walking" street.
There's a public bus stop at one end our our short street.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 4.
Husband, wife and 2 teenage children ( our son is 16 and our daughter is 14 ).

We are a tennis playing family.
Our son is one of the best players in Denmark.
Our daughter is a competitive dancer.

We travel often.

We also have a spacious, 3 bedroom villa in Bali, Indoneisa.
If you're interested, we can also swap that villa.
It also includes a station-wagon car.

We all speak and write fluent English.

Destination

We prefer the central Melbourne area.
Our arrival and departure dates are flexible.
