Maison

My apartment is on the second floor of a renovated old mansion (1902).
It has 2 bedrooms. The masterbedroom has a queensizebed,nice view and sunrise in the morning. The second bedroom has the same view and can be used as a walk-in closet or spare room. I have a bed for one person in there.
The kitchen has refrigerator, oven/microwave,electrical coocking, coffeemachine, steamer.
In the livingroom i have a very cosy large couch, flatscreen TV, digital cable, DVDplayer & movies, wifi,I-pod speakers.
Bathroom has shower, toilet, washingmachine/dryer, towels and linen for bedrooms.
The apartment has lots of light and a very good atmosphere, quiet.
No more washing or extreme noise after 10.00 pm. Let me know if you like to play the piano, otherwise i put my digital piano in the apartment so you can play/practice.

Quartier

The neighborhood is quiet but close to the busy historical citycenter. Across the street is the beguinage

Here you can have walks or visit the church. Free Parking is available in beguinage, gate closes at 11.00pm-6.30 am.
At the end of the street is a busstop that brings you to the citycenter in only 8 min.
Or you can rent a bicycle or car. Same bus brings you to the trainstation in 4 min. Very interesting for daytrips to Antwerp, Brugge, Brussels,Belgian coast,... or even Paris, London, Amsterdam,...
This neighborhood has a bakery, grocerystore,butcher, nightshop (opens when grocery closes),hairdresser, pizza, typical french fries,bioshop,... in walking distance.
The historical center of Ghent offers a lot of museum, concerts, special cultural festivals,theater,boattrips,very good restaurants,beer and jenever tasting,nightlife,...

I'm the only person participating in the exchange. I'm a 36 year old single woman, work as a freelance creative coach. I help people rebalance their inner nature using improvisational arts.
I love the freedom of travelling and learn about new cultures therefor I travel not in weeks but months.
I speak dutch, english and french.

Destination

I visited the Hawaian islands last year and lost my heart overthere.
So it would be great if i could exchange simultaneous with someone on one of these islands.
I would love to learn more about the Hawaian culture by being there for a longer period of time. My preferences go out to Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big island.
My dates are flexible.
