Maison

Located five minutes from the Pacific Ocean and five minutes from downtown Seaside, Oregon, my condo has two master bedroom suites with adjoining private bathrooms, a large great room and a private patio.

There is easy access to a dock from which you can launch the canoe from the garage and spend leisurely hours paddling up and down the Necanicum River. But why bother with the River, when you can walk to the Pacific Ocean or to downtown Seaside!

My condo complex has only 11 units, most of which are vacation homes. So you might have the complex to yourselves, except for Bunny, the long-haired feline resident of my condo. She tends to be introverted, so you might not see her either!

Oregon's nearly 363 miles of pristine, public coastline is made up of diverse terrain that changes from rugged cliffs with historic lighthouses to evergreen forests to Sahara-like dunes and boundless sandy beaches and a world-class aquarium. All beaches in Oregon are public; the whole coast can be your playground!

Seaside, Oregon, has been the Northwest’s most popular ocean resort for over a century and is located just 90 minutes from Portland, Oregon. It is a destination paradise for its spectacular ocean views, miles of public beach, unique natural setting, mild ocean climate, outdoor activities, year-round events, excellent shopping, and diverse dining.

Walk from my condo to the 1.5-mile long ocean front Promenade which is perfect for strollers, joggers and bike riders. From there you have access to a wide and sandy beach good for all kinds of activities, from low rider beach bikes, beach volleyball, wave watching, to sand castle building, kite flying or a hot dog roast.

Or walk to downtown Seaside which contains dozens of unique boutiques, specialty shops, art galleries and antique stores. Those young at heart can enjoy the carousel, arcades, paddle boats and canoes.



À propos de nous

I have lived in Seaside, Oregon for about three years. Prior to retirement, I was a tax attorney and computer programmer (at different times, of course) and lived in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Missouri, and Texas prior to moving to Portland, Oregon to work for NIKE. After retirement, I decided to give ocean-living a try. It's been wonderful!

The Oregon coast is beautiful. However, don't expect tropical temperatures or sun all the time! We complain about it, but the rain and temperate climate are what keep everything green and lush and growing. And we never need air-conditioning. I enjoy hiking and there are many beautiful trails along the coast and into the coastal mountain range.

There is a furry resident in my condo named Bunny. She is a long-haired grey feline with some Maine Coon cat in her ancestry. So she's large, but shy and gentle. You might not see much of her.
